Stash

I'm finally getting into this blog thing, partly because I'm launching an Etsy shop and want to promote it on a blog (more on that later once I get some merchandise up) but also in order to inspire me to, you know, actually finish some stuff every once in a while.

Right now my goal is to use up my stash. I have a stash of yarn, most of which I've hauled around with me through at least 3 or 4 moves, some of which I've had for at least 7 years. Most of it I bought with specific projects in mind at the time which have long since been forgotten. That there lovely picture to the right: that's my highly organized yarn stash.

Yeah, right, organized. I put like balls of yarn into freezer bags, then stuff them all into a laundry basket I keep under my work table/desk.

When I start a project, I put the pattern or directions or whatever and all the supplies I need into the yarn bag, and put it under the couch to work on while I watch TV.

I have enough yarn to make quite a bit of little things, most of which I think I can sell in my etsy shop. We shall soon see!
